About S.P. RoseS.P. Rose is a pen name that allows me to freely and creatively express myself. I have been writing stories ever since I could hold a pencil, and now as an author, editor, and CEO I hope to help other passionate writers tell their stories.
I graduated in 2016 with a Master's in Multicultural/Transnational Literature. From that degree, I heard the voices of the underprivileged, learned and examined the perspectives of diverse cultures, and continue to learn in my own life. I had the privilege of teaching at secondary and collegiate levels for the past decade, and taught in South Korea for three years. |
Through that experience, I traveled to many countries and hope to see many more. The narratives and histories of the world inspire me to write and foster new imaginative ideas for my own fiction pieces. I want to make my thoughts, my experiences, and my ideas tangible. What better way to do that than by doing what I love -- writing.
Additionally, I was fortunate enough to be chosen as a finalist in We Need Diverse Books first Revisions Workshop (2021) where I was able to learn how to revise and produce a polished manuscript from established authors such as Nic Stone, Karen Strong, Jewell Parker Rhodes, and more! And this past year (2022), I was selected as a member of the 10th cohort for Tessera Editorial's mentorship program in which I received in-depth lessons on editing from Developmental Edits, to Copyediting, to Proofreading. Upon completion of both of these fantastic programs, I've grown as a writer and editor, and want to apply my knowledge to help you get your story out into the world!
